Apparently Floating Action has fans in high places. Asheville's favorite purveyors of mellow rock 'n' roll recently landed on the pages of Billboard thanks to My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James. In a Q&A with the magazine, the singer was asked about "new rock that moves you," to which he responded with an eclectic list that included, you guessed it, Floating Action. The band is in good company; James' list also included the likes of Neil Young, Avi Buffalo, Fruit Bats, The Melvins and Pearl Jam.
