According to the Hendersonville Times-News, It was bright, brisk and clear Saturday morning as cookers from the area pulled out slow cookers to participate in the annual Fletcher Chili Cook-off at Veritas Academy’s gym. Before doors opened to the public at 11:30 a.m., chefs stirred their two gallons of chili, set out chips or cheese and decorated their booths.
“This year, we’ve had more entries then we’ve ever had before,” said Chris Wiener, Fletcher Parks and Recreation’s recreation/program supervisor. “There are 22 this year.”Read the full article
