According to the Hendersonville Times-News, It was bright, brisk and clear Saturday morning as cookers from the area pulled out slow cookers to participate in the annual Fletcher Chili Cook-off at Veritas Academy’s gym. Before doors opened to the public at 11:30 a.m., chefs stirred their two gallons of chili, set out chips or cheese and decorated their booths.
