Pre-need insurance scam uncovered: Investigators looking for more victims

According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, A man who owned a Sylva funeral home and his wife who worked with him were arrested, Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin announced Tuesday. Ronnie Austin Riddle, 56, was charged with 13 counts of obtaining property by false pretense. Thomasine Sheehan Riddle, 55, was charged with nine counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
