The Friends of the Nature Center have just launched Wild Walks, a behind-the-scenes tour on the third Saturday of each month. The hour-long tour includes Appalachian Station (reptiles and amphibians, animal kitchen, food preparation, daily care etc.) and Small Mammals (raccoons and foxes).
Tours are limited to 10 people on a first-come, first-serve basis. The price is $50 for adults, $25 for children (no strollers, please), and the first one is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18 from 2 - 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the WNC Nature Center.
