"Joe Cool" the cat survived trip from Canada in refrigerator, landed in Mills River

A frisky feline who chilled out for days in a refrigerated freight truck traveling from Canada found an opportunity to escape when workers at Van Wingerden in Mills River unloaded the truck's cargo.

But warmer temperatures wouldn't come any time soon. The Maine Coon cat darted off into the company's warehouse, where the temperature is set at 38 degrees.
