In our modern world, Alzheimerʼs too often looms like a dark ominous cloud over the aging of those we love as well as ours. " We will review how, contrary to what we think:
a. Genes have very little to do with Alzheimerʼs
b. It is not an unavoidable disease
c. The process is not mysterious and can be both understood and prevented.
The topics we will explore include:
✦ Memory and brain functions seen from the Chinese and Western Medicine point of view
✦ Alzheimerʼs as a “third diabetes”
✦ The role of abdominal fat and our gut as a “second brain”
✦ Brain plaques and the process of calcification
✦ “Sundowning” and Yin deficiency
Tools for prevention:
✦ The importance of sinus health and oxygenation
✦ Good stomach and intestinal health: the importance of diet and lifestyle to support brain functions
✦ Tools for cleansing and strengthening our brain
✦ A flexible body for an agile mind: how to keep our brain cells alive and well!
