Henderson County clear-cut logging operation annoys neighbors

According to the Hendersonville Times-News, Theron Maybin first became aware of the logging operation near Pinnacle Mountain in 2009, when mud began flowing into the Green River near his farm.

"I can see (the property) from my front window," Maybin said. "All of the runoff from the property has come across my property."

About 400 acres of the 1,366-acre tract has been clear cut, with erosion causing sediments to enter tributaries of the Green River, turning the pristine trout waters red.Read the full article
