The Asheville Classical Guitar Society, a local organization dedicated to the "performance and study of the classical guitar," hosts guitarist Martha Masters on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Unitarian Universalist of Asheville.
In addition to the 7 p.m. concert, Masters will conduct a master class (aptly named) from 3 to 5 p.m., also at the Unitarian.
A review from a Brevard College performance says "Masters displayed formidable technical skills and deft musicianship leaving little doubt why she is so highly regarded." Masters has several recordings of classical guitar and published an instruction book with Mel Bay. For more about the musician, visit her website. Recording samples available at http://www.marthamasters.com/hearherplay.html.
