You might think that spinning a pair of ropes with weighted balls on the end is easy. You might not even really consider it to be much of a performance art. Sure, it might have been entertaining enough for the ancient Māori people -- the people who invented the art of Poi -- but they were stuck on a bunch of isolated Pacific islands for thousands of years. Well, here's nearly 10 minutes of poi performer ParisiFire showing that there's more to this ancient art other than not hitting yourself in the chin.
