Black Mountain officials explain town's finances

From the Black Mountain News:
Town officials said they have identified specific ways to offset the loss in revenue when the Town of Black Mountain Board of Aldermen repealed the solid waste fee expected to bring the Town $150,000 this fiscal year.

In an interview with the Black Mountain News, officials also explained where they found funds to pay for recent hires to the Town staff, and said they are optimistic they will be able to present a balanced budget to the aldermen in May with no new taxes or fees and no need to use the Town’s savings.
