The local YMCA got grants of $175,799 from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust and $50,000 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to bring the Y’s Diabetes Prevention Program to McDowell County and help reduce the burden of chronic disease in the community.
