Although trout season doesn't open till April 7, Wildlife Resources Commission officers are on the lookout for mountain-trout poachers, WLOS reports.
March "is also prime-time for poachers, who take advantage of the large numbers of fish and the ease in catching them. There are 1,100 miles of trout streams and a small number of enforcement officers to patrol them," WLOS reports.
