Warren Wilson College is hosting an all-day Herbal Symposium on April 7 with the theme of “Plants and Healers of Appalachia.” The event offers an opportunity for those interested in wellness and natural healing to come together and explore the world of herbs.
Display booths and workshops by well-known regional herbalists will be available from 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. as the symposium honors the memory of botanical explorer Frank Cook. Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the Frank Cook Foundation, which is funding a film about Cook’s life.
Participants may register in advance at a reduced rate for either a full or half day. Registration also will be available at the door the day of the event. For more information, email herb@warren-wilson.edu or call 828-771-5848.
