Here's the press release:
“Gay Marriage as a First Amendment Right” is the topic to be addressed by Rabbi Phil Bentley at the monthly Democratic Men's Discussion Club breakfast to be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11 in the upstairs meeting room at Mike's on Main in downtown Hendersonville. Rabbi Bentley has served congregations in Massachusetts and New York as well as in Curacao and the Netherlands Antilles. He is currently retired as Senior Scholar at Agudas Israel Congregation in Hendersonville. Throughout his life, he has championed human rights as well as protecting the natural environment and promoting peaceful solutions of world issues. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.
A full breakfast buffet (cost $8.50 plus tax and tip) will be served at Mikes from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room. Reservations for the buffet are required and must be made by 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9. To make buffet reservations or for more information, call Isabel at 891-1033. Instead of the breakfast buffet, attendees may choose to order off the menu in the downstairs restaurant for which no reservation is required. The public is cordially invited to attend.
