The Asheville Area Arts Council, along with the City of Asheville and a host of other arts organizations, will hold a second yearly gathering tomorrow. What is it, exactly?

"The Creative Sector Summit is an opportunity for networking and creative problem solving: for cross pollination, education, creation of sector advocacy, collaboration on initiatives and programs, to maximize funding opportunities, and as an opportunity for non-arts organizations to have a way to work with the sector effectively," according to the arts council. "With more and more national organizations realizing the incredible community building and economic development powers of creativity and the arts, it is imperative that Asheville (and beyond) galvanize and cooperate to make the most of the opportunities this recognition represents."

Here's a look at tomorrow's schedule:

A morning session will be held at Asheville Community Theatre, 35 E. Walnut St. 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Afternoon session from 2 to 5 p.m. will be held at the Asheville Art Museum, 2 S. Pack Square. This will be a cultural resources forum, featuring "networking for deeper insight into initiatives and opportunities for creative sector partners."
