Stefan Horik brings “a riot of color” from Canada to the Grand Bohemian Gallery this month. His majestic landscapes, fields of spring flowers and cozy houses convey the beauty of his home country.
Eschewing the traditional paintbrush, Horik exclusively uses a palette knife to create his bold and highly textured works. He is known for his “extreme” horizontal and vertical paintings, which embrace the viewer with broad swaths of scarlet, jade and azure.
Stefan Horik’s work will be on display at the Grand Bohemian Gallery, 11 Boston Way, from March 31-April 30. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 31 from 5-8 p.m. Info: www.bohemianhotelasheville.com
