Sylva, N.C. – MedWest Health System is sponsoring free hip screenings from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 10 at MedWest-Harris Rehabilitation Services on the MedWest-Harris campus in Sylva.
Licensed physical therapist Grant Shanks, PT will conduct the screenings and provide recommendations and next-step treatment options.
Call (828) 586-7235 to sign up for a screening. Availability at the session is limited.
MedWest Rehabilitation Services include orthopedic manual physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, hand rehabilitation, speech-language pathology services, FCE (functional capacity evaluations) and occupational rehabilitation, continence and pelvic dysfunction therapy, sports medicine, spine care, balance and vestibular therapy, comprehensive wound care and orthotic and foot care.
MedWest Health System provides healthcare for the people of western North Carolina at MedWest-Harris, MedWest-Haywood and MedWest-Swain hospitals, the outpatient facility MedWest-Franklin, and through the 100-member MedWest Physician Network. MedWest is affiliated with Carolinas HealthCare System.
