Ween fans rejoice: more than a dozen local musicians have spent the last five months rehearsing just for you. Tonight at The Bywater, Pepper Pulp (featuring members of Hello Hugo, Baby Cowboy, John Wilkes Boothe and the Black Toothe and more) will finally share the fruits of its months-long rehearsals, paying homage to the experimental rock quintet with an epic, 30-song tribute.

The performance marks International Jungle Gym Injury Awareness Day, a fake holiday created by local musician Rosser Douglas when he was in high school. Over the last several years, International Jungle Gym Injury Awareness Day has grown from a silly joke to a fundraising opportunity, raising money for St. Jude's Chilren's Hospital through the sale of "goofy" T-shirts promoting the holiday. The event has always included live music, but this year Douglas has taken the concept to new levels. In addition to the aforementioned Ween tribute, patrons of the Bywater will be treated to a cookout, a POG tournament (yes, you read that correctly), live video projections, smoke machines and more.

Basically, unless you're a POG-hating proponent of jungle gym injuries — and why would you be? — this event will be a blast (from the past).

POG tournament begins around 5 p.m. (POGs provided); Music starts at 8 p.m. No cover.
