The YWCA Board of Directors voted in February to OPPOSE Amendment One to the North Carolina constitution. This ballot measure will appear on the NC primary ballot for May 8. The YWCA has a long, rich history of defending and upholding the civil rights of all residents of Western North Carolina. We believe that this constitutional amendment would hurt families and children in our community as well as promote discrimination in our State.
