James David Stroupe was a forgiving soul who would have been satisfied with the sentence given a city bus driver for causing the accident that eventually took his life, Stroupe's widow believes.
“War heroes can be some of the most forgiving and compassionate people,” Francie Lanius said Wednesday. “He was quite a guy.”
