As a Mother of a Firefighter I know what a firefighter job consist of,it takes a very special person to commit themselves to this profession,I lost a son in a house fire many years ago who was age 16 at the time.I had another son who at this time was only 4 years old from that day of the fire my 4 year old said to me, Moma when I grow up Im going to be a firefighter and save everybody I can so nobody has to hurt and cry like you.My son became a Firefifgter and has been a Captian for 7 years now.I tried to talk him into not doing this for my fear of loosing another son,but it was in his heart what he wanted to do.I feel the pain with every incident like this that I hear .Firefighters are true heros, the families of firefighters are heros..They are truely Godly selected to do the job they do.Condolences to the Bowen family,& to Captain Bowen's firefighter family,and to all firefighters everywhere they are all family.I am very proud to be a firefighter's Mom..
