In his bid to win the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor, Dan Forest brought his campaign to Asheville Monday, canvassing door-to-door with volunteers. A self-described “conservative Republican,” Forest carries an endorsement from Asheville Tea Party in his race against rival Tony Gurley in the July 17 run-off primary election.
