City will hold July 17 public meeting on BID proposal

Following the June 12 Asheville City Council meeting where the controversial proposal for a downtown Business Improvement District was delayed, city staff have set up a July 17 meeting to gather public input.

Full announcement from the city of Asheville:

Downtown Business Improvement District Public Meeting
Tuesday, July 17, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
US Cellular Center Banquet Hall

The meeting will provide opportunities for citizens to give input on issues raised at the City Council public hearing on June 12. Staff will be taking input on all issues, but are especially interested in hearing thoughts about the BID Board of Directors and the Ambassador program. The meeting will be a drop-in format at the end of the business day to be accessible to a variety of stakeholders.
