Thrawz Wobl, as Pyle explains, is a planet that he and his friends conceived of in high school. His art work uses psychedelic, spiritual and socio-political imagery and language as a jumping-off point to explore intellectual freedom and push boundaries of color, line and creativity. Pieces on exhibit are mostly new works, but a few date back well over a decade (with recent revisions).
The opening runs from 6-10 p.m. with music by DJ Joynerd. Rosetta's is not open for food service at that time, but with art, music and good company, who needs food anyway? (Okay, if you do need a peanut butter tofu fix, Rosetta's does serve until 3 p.m. on Sundays.)
