The League of Women Voters will hold its season kick-off party at Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company’s downtown location at 77 Coxe Ave. on Aug. 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event is designed to inform League members and the public about plans for the upcoming year while also letting guests and visitors learn more about what the League is all about and what the does on behalf of democracy. Nonmembers with an interest in the League’s work are welcome to attend.
