From the press release:
Biltmore Property Group, LLC today announced Brooks Brothers is coming to Historic Biltmore Village in Asheville, N.C. The 3,200-square-foot store will be located beside Lilly Pulitzer in a newly renovated building. Construction will begin this month with a grand opening scheduled for September 2011.
“We are excited to have Brooks Brothers join the other great retailers in Historic Biltmore Village,” said John Bell, president and CEO of Biltmore Property Group. “The addition of Brooks Brothers reinforces Historic Biltmore Village as the top shopping destination in Western North Carolina and demonstrates our commitment to further enhancing Historic Biltmore Village.”
Known for its iconic American style, the legendary retailer introduced numerous fashion innovations including the creation of the first ready-to-wear suits and the original Polo® Button-Down shirt. Brooks Brothers operates more than 300 stores worldwide.
Tim Harrison of Sperry Van Ness Whitney Commercial represented Brooks Brothers and Curtis Williams represented the landlord, Biltmore Property Group in the transaction.
Biltmore Property Group has completed several projects in Historic Biltmore Village over the last 12 months. Palm Village, a Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store, opened last July in the remodeled building that Brooks Brothers will join. An 9,000-square-foot Ruth’s Chris Steak House and four second-floor condominiums are under construction at 26 All Souls Crescent. Future projects include additional retail space and residential apartments.
