Asheville Symphony's free Labor Day concert CANCELLED

UPDATE: According to a press release, "Due to weather, the Asheville Symphony and the Asheville Buncombe Youth Orchestra have CANCELLED their performances for Labor Day, Sept. 3. There are no rain venues for these performances.

For the third year in a row, Asheville Symphony performs a free Labor Day concert in Pack Square Park. According to a press release, "Members of the Symphony will perform on the Bascom Lamar Lunsford stage in front of the County Courthouse and City Hall. The concert will be conducted by music director Daniel Meyer."

Music begins at 7 p.m. Lawn seating is free (bring a lawn chair or a blanket). Food and beverages will be sold as part of CLAP! Asheville (Celebrate Live Arts Performances), which brings together Shindig on the Green, The Montford Park Players, LAAFF and the Asheville Symphony in presenting a Labor Day weekend full of activities for everyone.

Prior to the Symphony concert, Labor Day events at Pack Square Park include the Montford Park Players at 1 p.m. and The Asheville-Buncombe Youth Orchestra at 5:30 p.m. Find a full list of CLAP! Asheville Labor Day weekend events here.
