The Mark Meadows campaign went live with another television ad on WLOS Sept. 27. The Republican candidate in the race for the 11th Congressional District takes aim at President Barack Obama in the spot, which declares that "Obama doesn't get it, but Mark Meadows respects the dream." Meadows is facing off against Democrat Hayden Rogers to represent the Western North Carolina district.
In addition, National Republican Congressional Committee Deputy Press Secretary Meagan Holder sent the following statement announcing the ad's release: “With affordable gas prices and good North Carolina jobs at stake, will Hayden Rogers reject the Sierra Club’s endorsement and their war on energy? With 9.7 unemployment, North Carolina workers need someone who will protect their jobs, not his own special interests.”

Ah yes, "the dream." The dream of a return to the never-never land of Leave it to Beaver. The dream of adding more dept to the country to give the rich more. The dream that we can continue to ruin the only planet we have in the name of 'freedom' and 'prosperity'. The dream that gullible voters will have amnesia about the failure of this same 'policy' both during the Bush years and before. The dream that people will believe that the rich, if only given enough money, will make the crumbs trickle down to them. The dream that key economic indicators are not turning positive, or at least the dream that people won't notice. The dream that the decades-old voter suppression strategy, laid out by Paul Weyrich in 1980, will allow them to win.
And the dream that Meadows can waltz in, spout the same vague drivel and win.
One must have one's dreams.

Since he is targeting Obama, not his Congressional opponent, it would seem so. Regardless of his confusion as to what race he's in, it's the same prescribed, discredited drivel he's offering.
