Announcement from the Asheville Police Department:
With help from the public, Asheville PD Detectives were able to identify the suspect from the sexual assault that occurred at Cookout on Tunnel Road on 09/16/2012.
On 9/28/12 at 1710 hours Kadeem Smith was arrested and charged with Attempted 2nd Deg. Rape, 2nd Deg. Sexual Offense, and Assault by Strangulation and given a $600,000 bond.
