Here's the press release from Republican incumbent Patrick McHenry, who faces a challenge this year from Democrat Patsy Keever to represent the 10th Congressional District:
DENVER, N.C. - While greeting voters on the campaign trail at an early voting location in Lincoln County today, Congressman Patrick McHenry took time out to cast his own ballot in this year’s critical election. Joining with friends and Lincoln County supporters in exercising their right to vote at the East Lincoln Community Center, the Congressman stressed the importance of early voting.
"In 2008, Barack Obama and Beverly Perdue defeated Republicans because they emphasized Early Voting to their supporters. If Republicans can raise their turnout during Early Voting, we can be victorious on election night as soon as the first returns are posted," McHenry stated.
He continued, "We have 15 days to go, so there is no excuse not to vote. Take your family, friends, and neighbors with you to the polls, and make sure they have their voices heard.”
