I love the Mountain Xpress and read it every week. But the Wampus Cat mascot is really unbearable. I could hardly enjoy reading the Best of WNC issues while having to look at that image over and over. Personally hoping that Wampus, unlike other cats, only has one life.

I'll gladly turn the other jowl in response to your somewhat macabre insinuation of my demise. Indifference would be worse, like they say, and one can't truly be a legend without inspiring just a little homicidal rage.
