Clyde, N.C., November 19, 2012 - A senior executive with more than 25 years experience in healthcare management has been chosen as the next president and chief executive officer of MedWest-Haywood.
After a four month search, Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) selected Janie Sinacore-Jaberg, FACHE, to lead the hospital and its 650 employees. She will be at MedWest-Haywood by mid December. Most recently, she was chief operating officer at a two-hospital system in Muskogee, Okla.
"We look forward to Janie filling the role of Chief Executive Officer within the Haywood management team. Her experience in patient care and administration will give us a depth of expertise that is essential in leading the hospital at this critical time," said Cliff Stovall, chairman of the Haywood Regional Medical Center board. "We are extremely pleased to get someone with Janie's capabilities and experience in this role.”
"Janie will bring new enthusiasm and positive results to MedWest-Haywood," said John Young, Regional Group Vice President for CHS. "She is a very personable, experienced leader with the ability to build consensus and bring positive change. I'd also like to thank Teresa Reynolds, Dwayne Hooks and Dr. Tyson Smith for their leadership during the search process."

“I am inspired by the talent and dedication of this team and I can’t wait to work through our challenges, celebrate our successes and meet my new neighbors and friends. I am truly excited to be back in the Carolinas,” said Sinacore-Jaberg.
She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse working in the operating room. Prior to her executive roles she held patient care leadership positions including Director of Clinical Services, Director of Surgical and Critical Care Services, and Chief Nursing Officer.
