Ahleuchatistas got a shout out and enthusiastic endorsement from NPR's Bob Boilen today when the All Songs Considered host premiered the band's latest video (for "Lighted Stars"), along with a short write up, on NPR's website. Boilen discovered the band during this year's Moogfest and calls the duo's most recent release, Heads Full of Poison, "a fabulous sonic journey" before admitting some embarrassment at having just caught on to the pair's frantic explorations in prog rock, avant-garde experimentalism, free-form jazz and noise.

The video, directed by local artist Courtney Chappell, features a variety of military still frames, brought to life through shaky camera work that makes it seem as though the photographs are moving images.
