Thank you for all the well wishes for Jack! We've had so many inquiries about Jack, the Great Dane we told you about last month, who lost his leg and tail due to a severe injury. His tale of recovery and rehabilitation touched the lives of so many but when Dave Parlett saw him and read his story, Jack's fate was forever sealed. Dave, his wife, Jami and son, Kyle, knew Jack belonged with their family. This was a perfect love match because their beloved Great Dane mix Zeta was eager for a companion.
In Dave's own words: "Jack is a miracle in more ways than one. We were hoping to find a friend for Zeta, our Dane mix and in addition found a wonderful, loving buddy who can overcome whatever life throws his way (and has learned to catch a ball thrown his way, too!) He is teaching our family the true meaning of perseverance. We couldn't be more happy with this fun-loving guy in our lives. Many, many heartfelt thanks to all of the fine folks at Asheville Humane Society, Charlotte Street Animal Hospital and everyone who decided it was worth it to give Jack a second chance at life."
