From the press release:
The AB Tech Alpha Upsilon Eta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa gave Renee Robb-Cohen the Golden Apple Award in recognition of outstanding teaching abilities, inspiration and dedication to students. Ms. Robb-Cohen was the adjunct faculty instructor for Therapeutic Massage from 2007 until 2011, teaching massage basics. She has been the owner of A Celebration of Being, since 1998.
Speaking of the award, Ms. Robb-Cohen states, "I'm delighted to be recognized by the students here, many of whom are starting their second or third careers and balancing work, children, and school all at the same time. They are amazing!"
Ms. Robb-Cohen has continued her own education, having completed two classes this summer, one in Qi Gong, and the other in Stone Medicine, a body treatment using hot and cold stones from a Native American tradition, in addition to many others over the years. "We are required to complete 24 hours of continuing ed every two years; there are so many classes and modalities to choose from, it's hard to make a decision," she smilingly states.
