APD asks for public's help to identify bank robber

The Asheville Police Department received a report today at 12:29 PM of a bank robbery at the Bank of America located at 1896 Hendersonville Rd. The suspect is described as a black male, dressed as a woman, wearing make-up. He was last seen on foot heading southeast of the bank toward the railroad tracks. No one was injured during the robbery. Additional photos will be released when available.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the bank robber is asked to contact the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110 or Asheville Buncombe Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050 or send a tip via text message specifically to the Asheville PD by Texting "APDTIP plus your tip" to 274637 (CRIMES).
