Press release
From Asheville SchoolASHEVILLE, N.C. (January 10, 2013) On January 21 (MLK Day), Asheville School is offering an Open House for those who are interested in Asheville School or generally interested in boarding schools. The Open House provides a fantastic, low-key introduction to four important aspects of our school: residential and community life, academics and relationships, afternoon athletics and activities, and life after Asheville School.
The Open House is from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will include a campus tour led by current students, faculty presentations, a student panel, and an overview of the admission process. Click herehere to see clips from a student panel Q&A session.
Head of School Arch Montgomery is featured on WLOS’s Spotlight Carolina promoting the upcoming Admission Open House. Click here to see watch his interview.
After attending an Open House, one parent commented to the Admission Office: “Why would we want any other school? Asheville met and exceeded all of our criteria as a family. The small student body, all-encompassing faculty support, classes infused with a balanced pragmatic and idealistic filter, healthy structure for optimal growth and success, and a beautiful chapel…Cell phones and modern apparatuses have little to do with the fertile educational environment. Friendly handshakes, smiles and genuine etiquette abound your campus.”
To register, please call the Admission Office at 828.254.6345 or email Lisa Borows at borowsl@ashevilleschool.org.
A nationally acclaimed co-ed college preparatory boarding and day school, Asheville School enrolls approximately 275 students from across the country and overseas. Recent graduates are attending Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Caltech, UCLA, UNC-Chapel Hill, Davidson, NC State, University of Virginia, Emory, Duke, and Wake Forest, among others.
