We didn't see much of our faithful intern Joe Chapman during Bele Chere this year, nor did we see much of him for the week after. Turns out he was lugging two cameras around, setting them up on rooftops and in alleys and shooting 37,000 photos of the three-day fest. The file, at one point, was 90 GB. Yeah.
Here's Bele Chere time-lapse video that nearly did him in (if that didn't do it, will the Gathering of the Juggalos?). It's six minutes long, with music from the Protomen and Sonmi Suite and worth watching just for the clouds alone.
If you missed the setting up for Bele Chere time-lapse, with music from Paper Tiger, check it here.

Wow. That's awesome. Down in the crowd that's pretty much the way it felt at times.
Great job. How is this guy?

That was cool. I especially like the shots at night near the end. That final sunset shot is fantastic. Good work!

Awesome. Reminding us that humanity, though all too apt to be banal, nevertheless dances its own astonishing patterns, which, despite our sense of alienation, are as interwoven in the world as those of honey bees, trees and clouds. Thanks, Joe.
