Now in its 18th year, the annual Bluegrass First Class weekend event features performers like Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver (Lawson is pictured here), Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out and many others — including The Bluegrass Album Band, making its first appearance in 23 years. Doors open at noon on Friday and Saturday, with music and dance as well as instrument classes taught by Wayne Erbsen. Friday-Sunday, Feb. 15-17 at the Crowne Plaza Resort. Tickets are $45 for Friday, $54 for Saturday and $99 for both days. The Sunday morning gospel show is free and open to all attendees. http://www.bluegrassfirstclass.com.
