The romance really heats up the weekend after Valentine's Day — that's when the Spanish dance and music company Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana makes a two-night stop at Diana Wortham Theatre. "Through the dynamic expression of dance, influences can be seen and heard from Africa, the Americas and the Middle East," says press for the event. Artistic director Carlota Santana has been called “The Keeper of Flamenco” and has expanded the company with new music, dramatic works, a mixture of dance vocabularies and the integration of Hispanic-American influences. Performances are Thursday and Friday, Feb. 21 and 22. 8 p.m. nightly. $35/$30/$15. http://www.dwtheatre.com. Photo by Lois Greenfield.
