Buncombe County Health & Human Services moves some programs from Leicester to downtown Asheville

Here's the press release from Buncombe County:

Buncombe County Health and Human Services (HHS) announced today that some services currently found at their HHS West branch location on Leicester Highway will be moved to the main office at 40 Coxe Avenue in downtown Asheville. The services that will move include:

· Medicaid Transportation
· Public Assistance Intake
· Program Integrity/Fraud Investigations
· State System Security

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program will remain at the Leister Highway office and will expand to better meet the needs of the community. Applications for public assistance will continue to be available at the west branch office. This change will take effect on Friday, March 15, 2013.
