Singer-songwriter Joshua James grew up in Nebraska, but lives on a farm in rural Utah, where, according to press, "He's learned to live off the land and appreciate a simpler pace." Which is probably a good balance to the rest of his life, where he's a folk troubadour, touring with the likes of The Swell Season, Ben Harper and Ani DiFranco, appearing on Last Call with Carson Daly and landing in the top spot on the iTunes Folk Chart. His new (and third) album, From The Top Of Willamette Mountain, was produced by Richard Swift (The Shins). James makes his way to The Grey Eagle on Tuesday, March 26. Isaac Russell also performs. 8 p.m., $10. http://thegreyeagle.com. Photo by Jake Buntjer.
