South Asheville Needs Sidewalks
I'm running for Asheville City Council because many roads in Asheville (like Hendersonville Road) have been without sidewalks for far too long.
Residents in South Asheville have been waiting years and years.
I'm all about bringing sidewalks to all of the roads and streets that need them.
With the model of Neighborhoods United, we can do anything!
Sidewalks are important but other things are as well.
We need safe bike lanes in our city. In the Shiloh neighborhood, many homes are still without sewer service.
West Asheville, North Asheville, Deaverview Road; all need sidewalks. Lakeshore Drive and Beaverdam Road need sidewalks as well.
When neighborhoods unite, we can do amazing things.
Take a look at this new video to hear some South Asheville residents speaking out.
Candidate for Asheville City Council
Here's the text that accompanies the video on YouTube:
When So. Asheville residents reached out to Chris Pelly for help they declared, "We've got goat trails. We need sidewalks." Since then Chris has helped organize well-attended community meetings, committees have been formed and a march scheduled. This is another example of 'direct community action,' Chris Pelly's way of getting things done. What does your community need? Sidewalks, Bike Lanes, Green Ways, Social Justice, a Voice? Chris Pelly is here to help.
