Why: When the sun is at your back and the world is at your feet, you can accomplish almost anything. Even ambitious goals are possible when you leave your fear of heights at home — like providing services to the 1 in 70 North Carolina children born with autism spectrum disorder.
To raise funds for the Autism Society of North Carolina at Zipping for Autism, teams of 10 will skim the horizon. Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures once again invites the community to fly through the air for respite, advocacy and services to families living with autism. The organization reports raising $31,000 for the Autism Society at last year's event.
The registration deadline for this year's fundraiser is drawing near, so now is the time to team up with co-workers, friends, family and neighbors. Commit to supporting local children on the autism spectrum by zipping through the trees with the most adventurous people you know.
