Car seat checking station to be held at Walton St. Park July 11

Here’s the press release from the Asheville Police Department:

APD, AFD, and Safe Kids WNC holding car seat checking station at Walton St. Park July 11th 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Asheville – The Asheville Police Department’s Housing Unit and Traffic Safety Unit along with the Asheville Fire Department and Safe Kids WNC will be holding a car seat checking station on Thursday July 11th at Walton St. Park. The hours for free checking and proper installation of your child’s car seat are from 1:00 PM until 4:00 pm.

The purpose of the event is to insure parents and grandparents have the car seats properly installed and are transporting their children safely.
