Eliada’s Corn Maze fundraiser opens Friday

This Friday is opening night of Eliada’s Annual Corn Maze. Here’s more information via the Eliada Homes email newsletter:

With over 4 miles of maze trails, and a field full of attractions, this year’s event is sure to please children and parents alike!

This year, Eliada partnered with the Asheville Grown Business Alliance’s LOVE ASHEVILLE GIVE LOCAL campaign. A large heart is cut into the maze and event organizers hope that this year’s theme encourages maze attendees to take notice of the beautiful campus and wonderful services Eliada provides to the local and regional community.

With support from event sponsors this year’s maze is truly special. Parsec Financial has sponsored the Corn Box and Asheville Compounding Pharmacy has sponsored the Spider Web. Members of the Asheville Grown Business Alliance have sponsored too, including Independent Studios and Relax and Rejuvenate showing that small independent businesses have a stake in the lives of children and families in our region. Other event sponsors include Comprehensive Chiropractic, Brown & Brown Insurance, ING, Rhodes Glass Company, Sheriff Van Duncan, TD Bank, Cintas, & Sunshine Employment Resources. In kind sponsors include Earth Fare, Fairway Outdoor, Lete Onate Salon, Katy Cash, AutoZone, Coca-Cola, Mazeplay, Daniels Graphics and GCA Contracting. Our presenting media sponsor is WLOS.

All the popular attractions still remain including the corn cannons, corn box, spider web climb-on, and giant slides. A new favorite from last year, The Spookley the Square Pumpkin storybook trail also still has a place at the event. Drawing on the success of Spookley, Eliada has added a second Storybook Trail, Ciderella and the Little Glass Sipper. Partners such as the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project and Hickory Nut Gap Farm have jumped on board and will be offering apple tastings on select dates to highlight this new apple-themed attraction.

Eliada has a long-list of special deals to help all families attend the maze. Go Local card carriers get a $1 discount, as well as attendees to the Hickory Nut Gap Farm Corn Maze. ABYSA kids got coupons to attend the maze for free with a paying adult. Groups of 20 or more get a special deal on entry, and as always, all children 3 and under are admitted for free. Guests can also use special Groupons, or Asheville Deal coupons courtesy of Asheville Radio Group, for discounted entry. And all volunteers receive 2 free tickets to return to the Corn Maze as guests of Eliada.

With all the Corn Maze offers, Eliada is proud that this event has become its biggest annual fundraiser. 100% of proceeds benefit the needy children and families Eliada serves. This positively impacts Eliada’s treatment programs, minibike program, animal therapy program, recreation programs, child development and foster care programs. Come support Eliada at this year’s Corn Maze!
