Tags:Falderal Winery and Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards team up to present the Mountain Wine and Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 28. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Mountain Inn & Suites, 755 Upward Road, Flat Rock.
According to a press release, "The festival will feature local music -- guitarist/singer/songwriter Chris Smith/CarolinaBound, duo Carrie Morrison and Steve Whiteside, and the percussive bluegrass sounds of Nitrograss … local wineries, including Falderal Winery, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, Burntshirt Vineyards, BiltmoreWine, and Parker-Binns Vineyard … local food vendors -- Louisiana-style Cypress Cellar and barbecue hotspot Hubba Hubba Smokehouse, Kilwins caramel apples … and local hard cider by Noble Cider. Non-alcoholic fruit beverages from Kilwins. Others may be added.
"Tickets for the full day are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate, which includes wine and cider-tastings, music, and admission to after-party performances. Tickets for designated drivers and under 21 are $10 per person."
An after-party follows, beginning at 5 p.m., with performances by Ellen Trnka and Eric Congdon. "Cost for attending the after-party only is $1 for wristbands for ages 21 and up. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle at the after-party music session … wine tastings end at 5 p.m. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. No pets, no coolers, no outside food brought onto the premises.
