Weaverville—Saturday, September 17 is the tee-off date for the 1st Annual Golf Tournament and Auction fundraiser presented by Bosom Buddies cancer support group for The Hope Chest for Women. The tournament will be played scramble style with 4 person teams on the greens at Reems Creek Golf Club.
Entry fee is $85.00 per person and includes green fees, cart, and an evening cookout. The cookout is $12.00 for non-golfers. Admission to the auction is free.
Golfers have a chance to win hole-in-one prizes of a 2011 Kia Soul or a Cycle Sportz full custom built 2002 Bourget Chopper. The all day auction features beautiful art pieces, get-a-ways, jewelry, restaurant and salon gift certificates, car care, and many other items of interest. Businesses have contributed nice raffle items, also.
Bosom Buddies of Weaverville is a totally volunteer support group and an affiliate of The Hope Chest for Women, a local non-profit that assists WNC women diagnosed with a female-related cancer. Bosom Buddies is organizing this Charity Golf Tournament and Silent Auction with all profits going to The Hope Chest.
