Poet, editor and professor Michael McFee will present a reading of his works at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 in UNC Asheville’s Karpen Hall, Laurel Forum. McFee’s reading will be preceded by a short reading by his former student, Evan Gurney, assistant professor of literature at UNC Asheville.
McFee, an Asheville native, is the author of 10 collections of poetry, including his most recent chapbook, That Was Oasis (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2012). He is also the author of a collection of essays, The Napkin Manuscripts (University of Tennessee Press, 2006) and editor of several anthologies. McFee is a professor of English at UNC Chapel Hill, where he has taught in the creative writing program since 1990.
