Situated among artists’ studios, Asheville Art Supply aims to fulfill the needs for materials and services for the area’s growing artist population. The store will host a grand opening celebration for the public on Saturday, October 1st. Grand Opening hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will feature product demonstrations, artwork by Asheville artists, door prizes and give-aways.
Locally-owned by decade-long resident of Asheville, Ashley Reis, Asheville Art Supply’s vision is to support the work of local independent artists and craftspeople. The store will not only feature locally-created artwork, but also locally-made products such as oil paint and conte, along with unique products for drawing, painting, printmaking and bookmaking.
Asheville Art Supply is located at 344 Depot Street in the River Arts District among a mix of artist studios and retail spaces in the former textile manufacturing and warehouse building, home of Pink-Dog Creative. Regular business hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
